If you grew up liking Zoom - you'll find this a Boston-based reality game show version of it - only better. I suggest it for 4-13 year olds.

Dirty Jobs is a great show on the Discovery Channel. It is gross and interesting and the kids learn something new each episode. The host is respectful and funny. My kids, particularly my son, loves it!

This is not a TV show but a great family movie, we rented recently. It is rated PG. I did not find anything offensive in the movie just the opposite. John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Joan Cusack and and adorable and talented little boy Bobby Coleman. The film is about a lonely science fiction writer who adopts a boy who thinks he is from Mars. This movie is about a parents persistence in his love for his child, in spite of the boy trying to isolate himself by is strand behavior and actions. "the movie is warm, funny and heartfelt story." ENJOY!

The kids love this show on Discovery Channel. In a fun and educational way, the MythBusters team takes on some of the most common myths by technically testing it out.

It fascinates the kids. Even I get sucked in occasionally. I also feel like they are learning something while they watch.
